Who Can Scream The Loudest?
There are many ‘ites’, ‘isms’, ‘ists’, etc. in the world. Their job is to side-track you from the pure gospel of Jesus Christ.
The voice that is loudest is not the voice of God; His is the still, small voice that speaks the truth in your ear.
Even those claiming Christ, and ‘new revelation’ must submit to the test of spirits and be in concert and agreement with the Word of God.
There are contortionists in the so-called Christian world. They can twist, juggle and mangle scriptures to make them say things that God certainly does not mean. They pretend to be something they are not, but they are actually doing violence to the Word of God.
God’s Word interprets itself. It is not to be taken out of context to prove a theory of man – instead, it is used to test the heart of a man to see if he is following after the truth of God. It is used to guide us in the way, and to teach us the very nature and character of God.
Some say you must be rich and healthy and powerful if you are truly a follower of Christ.
If that is so, then why do they collect your money in the name of God? Does God need your money?
If that is so, why do they have health problems for which they ask prayers? Does God not heal at their command?
If that is so, then why do they beg for your support? Can God not support them for the work if He has called them to it?
Don’t listen to the voices that scream at you; it is by the insistence of their very demands that you can discern what they are.
Listen to the still, small voice of the Spirit of God. Store up His Word in your heart. Put your faith in the Lord Jesus, and do not shrink from pain, poverty and smallness… for those who trust in Him in spite of difficulties will receive their reward from the hand of Jesus.
